Sanjay Jain, MD

Sanjay Jain, MD, a reputed and experienced board-certified gastroenterologist and hepatologist, is a consulting physician with Southend Gastroenterology Associates and practices in Louisville, Kentucky, and Southern Indiana area for over 20 years. Dr. Jain earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and doctorate in medicine at Rohtak Medical College in India.

He relocated to Louisville in 1994 for his internal medicine residency and fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. During his residency training, he also became a chief resident, and supervised and trained other residents in that capacity. He later started his solo practice in Louisville.

He is currently the chief of staff for gastroenterology division at Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Along with his board certification in gastroenterology and hepatology since 2007, Dr. Jain is also board-certified in internal medicine since 1997. He holds professional memberships in the American College of Gastroenterology, Kentucky Medical Association, and the American Association of the Physicians of Indian Origin. 

Dr. Jain lives in Louisville with his wife and two kids. During his free time, he loves to spend time with family, gardening, and reading books. He also likes to travel and hike.
